Please help me welcome our newest board certified physician (also military navy veteran) who will also be serving on the board for PCC.
Dr. Kency is a Jackson Mississippi native, a graduate of Alcorn State University, and a United States Navy Veteran. He completed formal Emergency Medicine training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson MS.
Dr. Kency’s passion for helping patients in the state get certified are two-fold. First, he watched his fellow service members suffer from mental illness (PTSD and Anxiety) with very few working options to improve their quality of life. Secondly, as an Emergency Medicine physician, Dr. Kency has saved countless patients suffering from overdoses from narcotics and benzodiazepines, as well as gastrointestinal hemorrhages from anti-inflammatory medications. Medical cannabis is free of these side effects.
Dr. Kency’s contact info will be kept private like our other Dr, as I will be serving as his point of contact to patients and families. But he will always be an available resource to you and your family through PCC! Thank you for joining and welcome aboard!
Another member of PCC to introduce! Please welcome Shea Kennedy, CHom, C.HP, Practicing Homeopathic Practitioner
My passion for getting into Homeopathy and helping many adults and children is the story of my son.
My son was diagnosed with PANS/PANDAS at age 3. Unfortunately, the allopathic medical community prescribed many meds leaving him feeling worse and without success. This left me feeling overwhelmed but determined to find him a way to heal anyway I could.
Thankfully I was introduced to a holistic practitioner/Homeopath and my son made amazing changes in just a week using remedies that had zero side effects and worked with his body to help him heal. I was amazed at the transition and went back to school to became a homeopath to help other children and adults.
My son is now 19 and has strived ever since . I dedicate my practice to help expand homeopathy, heal those in need and making the difference.

PCC is proud to introduce another member of our team, Christie English, MA, LLPC.
I completed my studies at Siena Heights University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in December, 2019. I also completed my Infant Mental Health II designation through the Michigan Association of Infant Mental Health. My education and experience have prepared me to counsel children, adolescents, and adults. I am currently working at Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties as an Early Intervention Mental Health Therapist with children ages 0-7 and their families. I meet with them in a home based and office-based setting where I work on family focused interventions along with some individual treatment.
I have been with the Scott family since our daughters, Lyric and Hayden were in elementary school. They quickly became best friends and our families meshed into one. I was with the Scott family the day Graysen was diagnosed. I had the privilege to walk alongside this family throughout Graysen’s initial treatment and chemotherapy. The effects of the chemotherapy treatment Graysen received were heartbreaking to witness. Graysen was often in excruciating pain, leaving her family helpless to ease her pain.
With little traditional options available, Kymee made the decision to begin Graysen on an integrative natural medicinal regiment. The results were immediate and amazing. Graysen was no longer in so much pain she couldn’t walk. Her sour patch personality was back.
Since then, I have witnessed the integrative treatment Kymee has implemented save Graysen’s life. I believe whole heartedly this treatment saved Graysen’s life and I feel so honored and privileged that PCC has chosen me to join this team.

Welcome Katherine, Honorable Military Veteran and RN of 10 years, to PCC
Hello, I'm Katherine, a registered nurse and cannabis coach, and the founder of Cannabis Care Nurse. My passion is to help people improve their health and wellness with the use of cannabis. I have a decade of nursing experience in critical care and leadership and have taken my expertise to the next level by specializing in cannabis. I'm a cannabis nurse coach, and I'm interested in research with terpenes, CBD/CBG, phytocannabinoids, and symptom management.
As a US Army veteran and experienced nurse, I've had the opportunity to witness the benefits of cannabis and complementary medicine first hand. After my mother was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and given a stage IV prognosis, we knew we needed to explore all possible treatment options. We turned to Charlotte's Web Oil with a combination of traditional medicine and added a complimentary CBD with occasional THC. With the support of her receptive team of Oncologists and interdisciplinary medical professionals, we were able to integrate alternative and naturopathic methods in addition to her traditional chemotherapy and an aggressive treatment plan. Within 7 months, my mother had gone into remission, and she has been in remission since 2018, including undergoing a bone marrow transplant to prevent recurrence
I currently have my own business but have been in critical care, Neuro ICU, Trauma ICU, and Medical/Surgical ICU experience, and leadership positions such as charge nurse and House Supervisor. I have been a RN since 2013. I'm a STAR award winner, and received certification by the University of Colorado-Boulder in Medical Cannabis. I'm currently in graduate school for MSN Informatics and taking courses in research and cannabis.
Now, I'm committed to using my knowledge and experience to provide the highest quality of support and guidance. I'm excited to be a part of this Facebook group and connect with others who share an interest in the benefits of cannabis. I would love to share my knowledge, experiences, and support each other on this journey.

PCC welcomes Donna Betancourt, EMT, Certified Cardiac Technician
My name is Donna Betancourt and I have been a certified Emergency Medical Technician for the state of New Jersey since 1997. I have worked both as a volunteer for my local first aid squad and as a paid EMT for a neighboring town and a local hospital. I am currently a Certified Cardiac Technician and a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant for Cardiometabolic Institute in Somerset, New Jersey.
My reason for joining Pediatric Cancer Consultants is I have seen throughout the years the positive effect natural medicine has had on Graysen through the “Pray for Gray” Facebook page. I do not believe in the long-term use of oxycodone and morphine etc. for children. Personally, I have seen the effects of the dependency of opioids on patients and the progression to the use of heroin. I have administered Narcan to quite a few patients throughout my career to reverse the outcome of a heroin overdose.
I am a big proponent on the use of natural medicine and I believe wholeheartedly in Kymee’s effort to include all schools of thought in a patient’s treatment at no cost to pediatric oncology patients.

Welcome two very vital parts of PCC Bhret and Hilary (Old School Farms)
Old School Farms is a family owned organic cannabis farm situated in Southern Maine. It is owned and operated exclusively by Bhret and Hilary. Hilary grows and cares for the plants while Bhret maintains the facilities and makes the full extract cannabis oil (FECO) medicine. Hilary is a graduate of Sage Femme Midwifery School while Bhret is a decorated war-time navy veteran, cancer and chemotherapy survivor. They have been in the cannabis industry for decades; In fact, in January of 1996 on the first day it was available in the united states Hilary got her medical marijuana caregivers license. These two were trained and mentored by the best legacy cannabis growers from the Santa Cruz mountains.
They are dedicated to growing the best possible plants and are passionate about relieving the suffering of others. Due to this passion they process their harvest into high quality natural medicine. They began making the natural medicine about 10 years ago for a dear friend of theirs who was suffering greatly with 4th stage breast cancer. Being the people they are, they immediately began turning the organic natural healing they grew and donated it to her, and were able to relieve her suffering greatly.
Since then, their organic sun-grown full extract natural medicine has been handed from friend to friend, and family member to family member. It has not only relieved suffering but has also completely eliminated all signs of many cancers, symptoms of multiple scoliosis, Parkinson’s, and dementia , relieved painful arthritis, and cleared many skin disorders such as psoriasis, and eczema from many patients.
The results they are seeing with their cancer protocol are outright amazing, especially with treating pediatric brain tumors and cysts. Many children taking their natural medicine have been declared NED and have had zero reoccurrence of cancer even for the most extremely aggressive cancers. This is not a hollow claim as their patients progress has been clearly documented with scans, x-rays, and bloodwork.
Bhret and Hilary believe strongly that you cannot harm a child into health! They plan on working directly with the families that choose to use cannabis medicine immediately upon diagnosis. They believe and their results have shown that tumors and cysts react quickly to the natural medicine shrinking them dramatically within weeks of beginning treatment. It is their desire to allow the natural medicine to shrink the tumors and cysts prior to traditional treatments that harm the child and can damage them permanently.
Old School Farms mission is to change the statistics for pediatric cancer and relieve the level of suffering of the children who have undergone traditional treatments. They feel the best thing they can do is set up a team of highly educated like-minded people to help as many as possible explore the best avenue for healing their condition while supporting the entire family.
Old School Farms is not a business it is a blessing. If you are open to or understand that Nutritional Science and natural Medicine hand in hand is the true path to treating many pediatric cancers without harming the child in the process, then please join us to help them help others.
Hilary and Bhret are truly the captains of team awesome and they are always an available resource to you and your family through PCC.
Please allow me to introduce myself. I’m a mama. A wife. A business owner. Although I have my masters degree in Momcology from fighting beside my daughter, I don’t offer medical advice nor am I educated on any other forms of cancer other than my daughter’s. But I’ve been blessed with hearing in 4 short months(AFTER 4 LONG YEARS), a cancer mama’s most dreamed of words: “No Evidence of Disease”. I do have first hand experience in advocating for my daughter, as there have been many situations where I’ve had to research and challenge diagnosis, doctors & medications. Down to seeking out and moving across country to the best treatment in the world for my daughter’s condition. I’ve had to defend and prove the value of the natural and holistic medicine we use alongside traditional time and time again. I’ve had to fight one of the largest insurance companies on the planet so an average surgeon wasn’t cutting her open just because that’s who our insurance wanted to pay. I was very blessed along the way to find myself in touch with the ones who could help me jump every hurdle put in front of us and saving our daughter. I credit the Good Lord for those blessings. I’ve got a strong and intuitive mind and a soft spot in my heart for families living this nightmare because this nightmare, it’s my life, too. I don’t want families going bankrupt just to have a holistic team and access to what the professionals recommend like we did a few times. There should be a place to turn for all schools of healing that doesn’t overdraft your family because insurance won’t cover it.
So what I lack in medical training, I make up for with experience. And TENACITY. So my goal was to build a team of experts from all schools of thought and all forms treatment, because parents need to know when their child receives a diagnosis that 9 times out of 10 there ARE OTHER OPTIONS, or holistic remedies that can provide relief from side effects, in the event that they have no choice but to deal with them. I may not be qualified to offer medical advice or recommend holistic treatments, but I’m certainly qualified to put together a reliable team for families who ARE qualified to do those things.
I am not an advocate for only Natural medicine. I am an advocate for integrative medicine, holistic medicine, traditional medicine & patient support who all work together as a team towards a common goal, which for all of us, should be saving these kids. It should be funding more research for less harmful treatment and less opioid drugs potentially leading to chemical dependency. Natural medicine made it so that my child hasn’t had a drop of oxy/fentanyl/morphine for 3 out of the 4 years she has been fighting to live. And were it not for her natural, she’d be taking them every day to fight the permanent neuropathy the chemo left in her leg and foot. I stand for the families afflicted by bringing this team together and sharing MY experience and the things that I have learned to watch and listen for. To our families, I will fight beside you! I’ll have medical minds behind you that give you the basic human right as a parent and knowledge to help you make educated choices with the critical care of your child. I’ll have social workers and counselors to help you through the agonizing times. I want to bring this nonprofit organization to life to repay what I owe the universe for saving our baby. I watched my daughter beat this. I want to help as many families as I possibly can to be able to say those words too. I will be everything to you that I needed in a friend, going through it myself.

Please welcome a unique member of PCC. This is our daughter, Lyric. She will be 13 in September and has asked to get involved to offer support to siblings of patients. To be a friend who understands the feelings and challenges that come with being the sibling of a sick child fighting for their life. It’s a family disease and touches every person and relationship in the family in some way. Having been through the worst of times and the best of times with her baby sister’s brain tumor, her desire is to let siblings know they’re not alone or forgotten. Lyric is a dedicated Gold gymnast, she has used gymnastics as an outlet for everything and she is great level headed big sister and can be just the friend a sibling might need who can be an ear that understands the feelings that come with what it’s hearing.
Welcome aboard, Lyric! We are proud of you for caring enough to want to do this!
